My Most Treasured Possession

There’s an item that I hold dear to my heart. If I wake up without it in the morning, I feel lost and sad. I prefer to start every morning with this treasured possession. Every night, when I go to bed, I make sure this treasured possession is clean and ready for me to use in the morning. I keep it next to my bed as a motivation to wake up in the morning. Without this treasured possession, I don’t know what I would do. I certainly wouldn’t wake up as happy as I do now.

My most treasured possession is a coffee tumbler. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy as I drive to work while listening to my morning radio show. It makes my mornings bearable and my afternoons at work pass quickly. My coffee tumbler is tall, dark, and handsome. It has the perfect curve at the top so that I can drink from it easily as I drive. No other coffee tumbler compares to mine. When I lock my coffee tumbler and put it in my bag, it never spills. I don’t think any other coffee tumbler would be as leak proof as mine.

My coffee tumbler has been with me through thick and thin. When I drove my friend to the airport at 5am the other day, my coffee tumbler was there, guiding me through the early dawn hours and navigating me home when the early morning traffic had just begun. When I woke up late for work after missing my 8am alarm, I still made sure to brew my coffee. It was more important than brushing my hair. I would never leave the house without my most treasured possession, my coffee tumbler.

One morning, I ran out of coffee beans. I not quite sure how I hadn’t noticed the day before. When I left the house in the morning, I still brought my coffee tumbler. I went to Starbucks and I asked the friendly barista if she could pour my latte in my treasured coffee tumbler. She gave me a strange look, but then I explained how much I loved my coffee tumbler and she nodded in understanding. I don’t care who knows it. I love my coffee tumbler. It’s my most treasured possession and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I hope you all have a coffee tumbler in your life. If you don’t, I suggest that you go and find one today.
